What’s confusing is that you use the same syntax to create a Proc which can’t affect the control flow of the function that called it, and has the same limitations as other languages like Java. If you think about the implementation it makes sense, a yield cannot be stored and run later, outside of the execution of the method it is in, whereas a Proc can be stored as an instance variable and executed much later.
