In a widely cited series of studies in the late 1990s and early 2000s led by Professor C. Raymond Knee at the University of Houston, researchers found that people who believed relationships were "meant to be" were far more likely to doubt their commitment after conflict. Those with more growth-minded views tended to stay more committed, even on days when they argued.
A more intriguing thought, given the state of the earbuds market, is that Apple has yet to release a pair of open earbuds, contrary to almost every other major player in the space. Open earbuds, which leave your ear canals open for environmental awareness, are the hottest trend in wireless earbuds, if not audio as a whole. Could those “high-end” rumors be wrong, obfuscating the possibility of Apple entering, and disrupting, yet another market?
